From Concept to Completion

For custom requests we work with the client throughout the entire process to ensure they are receiving exactly what they have requested.

First we discuss design and function. How will the piece be used, what type of wood, dimensions, what type of finish, budget, and delivery of the finished product? Once we have gathered all the necessary info we then begin working on a rough design and make changes as required, communicating with the client through the entire design process.

Once the client has agreed on final design then we determine a timeline for completion and a deposit is made to ensure a slot on the schedule. If any changes are necessary during the building phase the client is notified and the options are discussed before proceeding any further.

At the completion of the building phase the next step is to apply a finish if desired. Some clients may wish to finish the work themselves, which we are willing to accommodate, however we prefer to see the project through from beginning to end. A test finish is always applied on leftover material from the build and given final approval from the client. Especially when it involves matching an existing piece of furniture.

After the finish is complete the client is contacted and arrangements are made for delivery or pickup.
